They weren't really very good but looked super cool. Then there were the offerings from across the pond, Vox, Hofner, and the like. And maybe that accounts for the popularity and mystique of vintage Fender instruments. Most anything that is being offered today from MIM Fenders to high end boutique instruments are very playable and for the most part really quite good.īack in the 70's that wasn't always the case.
